Compensation Workbench - Employee Statement

 I am currently implementing the Employee Statement in Compensation Workbench. Using Document Management you can create upload rtf templates with tags and link columns to these tags. Once the statement is linked to the plan the statements can be published as pdf files. Whilst offering some flexibility over formatting this seems a little limited. I would like to be able to create several different templates specific to each country.

I would also be interested to hear how other people have implemented Employee Statements in general.
