Changing Hostname after database software installed

Hello all. I have a situation where the hostname for a linux machine was changed after the database software was initially installed. An initial database instance was created.  Because of naming issues with this instance a decision was made to change the hostname. After the hostname was changed that instance was deleted through DBCA and the instance with was recreated. A problem with enterprise manager was then discovered because it is referenceing the original hostname.

I know that changing the hostname and domain name for an existing DB instance is not supported. I was wondering if I now need to go back and uninstall all of the database software and start from scratch or if there are some changes I could make to some configurations files to accomplish this for enterprise manager.

Howdy, Stranger!
