Oracle Secure Backup - Tape hardware compression: How do i enable/disable it?

Hi,
the 'obtool lsdev -lvg' command shows the following:

I want to turn off compression. I thought i could use obtar to do this, but obtar requires me to backup.restore data in the process. Does anyone know the command to just enable/disable hardware compression?
