Database Install/Upgrade/Opatch (MOSC)

10.2.0.3 CPUOct2008. I thought these were security patches, not code changes.

I recently installed CPUOct2008 on one of my Oracle 10.2.0.3 systems running on Aix 64bit, it caused a job that normally ran in 30mins to run in 6 hours,  which doesnt make any sense as I thought that they only were for security fixes not database code changes.  Once I removed the patch, the job went back to 30minutes.   The question I have is, has oracle changed what the CPU patches included?  Has anyone seen any problems with the Oct2008 cpu?
