Are different disk groups advisable to improve I/O performance?

 Hello Everyone,

I have a 2 node RAC db with ASM file management.Currently i have 1 disk group for the whole Db. The db files are OMF .Is it advisable to create seperate disk groups for respective tablespaces to improve I/O performance

For eg:

Diskgroup A for System and sysaux TS

Diskgroup B for undo TS

Diskgroup C for index TS

Diskgroup D for archives.

I am not sure wther for OMF managed files, this will improve or degrade the performance. Please suggest.

Thanks
