hi,

some comments needed regarding dr solution as followings,

our production is protected by phy. standby db,

we want it to take over during crissis,
that is,
in the event of production go down,
all client should able to connect to the dr db.

this should be done immediately.
without any changes at the client size.

at the client side(two-tier config), they are connect
to db using tnsnames.ora.

during crissis strike,
we will down and proudction db svr.
and start up the productin db(read-write mode)

add. changes are,
we will change the dr db svr hostname
(to the same as old productin db hostname).
