Inventory Item Code

 Hi,

Our Inventory module in 11.5.10 was implemented by the vendor in a away that the Inventory Item Code, references Segment1 column in the database, is a character value set of of maximum 10 digits..
For reasons that I'm not completely aware of, the item codes were entered to the system as numerical only ; that is consisting of 10 numerical numbers.

The rquirements have changed and the users request to enter alphanumeric item codes which the value set allows as I mentioned above.

I would like to ask if there is any possible impact by such a change on the system functionalities and reports.
