Query regarding offline backup

 Hi,

One datafile belonging to a tablespace had been inadvertently removed from its physical location using unix commands. The database was not in use for around 4 months thereafter. However, when it was being tried to start the database recently, it was failing. Then the datafile was marked as being
offline and then the database was started. But when backup is being tried to be
taken now, we are receiving the following message:


ALTER TABLESPACE "DATA_LARGE" BEGIN BACKUP
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01128: cannot start online backup - file 23 is offline
ORA-01110: data file 23: '/appl/oradata/dm21cs/dbs1/data_large_ts_02.dbf'
