Single node cluster with ASM and RAC

Hello, Seems like I'm being started off with quite a bit more than I can chew. The plan is to set up an Oracle RDBMS server with high availability. I thought a simple Oracle Db on MSCS clustered nodes with FailSafe should do. Alas, corporate decission was made to go with RAC. Oracle 10.2.0.4 Standard Edition requires ASM with RAC. RAC also requires Oracle Clsuterware to be installed. We do have the server (soon to be 2 servers) SAN attached. The one good thing I have going is that the server is new/clean box and is not in production, so
