Will convert 2-node RAC to 4-node RAC improve datawarehouse performance?
Hi All:
has anyone done this: convert datawarehouse DB on 2-node RAC to 4-node RAC? oracle version is 10.2.0.3.
I don't worry too much about HA (high availibility). However, how much performance gain we could benefit? isn't on RAC each instance has its own sga/mem? isn't more overhead could be added?
CPU increase is one benefit, am I right?
Besides oracle features of Mviews, table partition, can I put some tablespace into 'read-only' mode to dedicate them to archive tables?
Anyone has done this? Tell me the pros & cons.
thanks a lot for your opinion!
