Datafiles ownership DBA or OINSTALL group UNIX

I have some minor question regarding the installation an file ownership after the installing Oracle 10gR2. As it is recommended in the installation guide and on several other sources during installing the oracle owener should have as primary group the oinstall group (inventory group) and as second
group dba. But now once installed does this still hold ? It's a bit strange as during DB creation files will have the oinstall group as gid, trace files, ...
Shouldn't 't the primary group not be changed to dba before creating a database ? Shouldn't the database files not be accessible by users in the DBA group ?
