Advanced Pricing Setup

I am new to Advanced Pricing and I have followed the setup steps in he Advanced Pricing with Purchasing White Paper, but the price does not update on the requisition I created.  I have checked the profile options, created a contract, created a sourcing rule, assigned the sourcing rule, added the item to the ASL and then created a requisition. What am I missing?
