I'm looking at setting up an 11g instance on ASM and was wondering -> Would the combination of ASM with RAID10 be a waste? Or would the two compliment each other? And, if the latter, would the advised setup for ASM be external redundancy since the RAID has it all covered, or normal/high??
I've read note 330398.1, but aside from saying they're complimentary, it basically lists five things that make ASM better or worse than RAID.
