Transaction Number not being updated after transaction type change fo document sequencing

 Dear all,

I have set up document sequencing for all transaction types (invoice, credit memo, debit memo and imported txn's). Creating new transactions work well and no issues experienced.

Then I decided to do some testing where the incorrect transaction type was originally selected. After I had saved the transaction both the doc seq number and the txn number is equal. I then complete txn and incomplete the txn again so that I can select a different txn type. On saving the updated transaction my transaction number is not being updated, even though my document number has now changed as expected.
