setting up to monitor an Apache HTTP Server target

 hi,

i'm trying to monitor a non-oracle apache httpd server.  i went to setup -> agents, chose a host and under Monitored Targest added a 'Apache HTTP Server' target.  i gave it just the Apach Install Home value for the list of properties.  when i look at the target it shows status of down.  under Configurations i click on view configuration.  it shows info about the apache installation so i'm assuming it found out some info.

what logs should i be looking at to figure out why it's not up (yes it is up and running)?  is there any note out there i should read?
