Metric and policies template

Has anyone gotten this to work? My understanding is that I can create a template and implement it in other databases already set up in the grid.

I used one db to create what policies I want monitored. Out of the 81 or so default policies, I trimmed it down to ~30. I also edited a few of the metrics and changed the default warning/critical thresholds.

I created the template from that, and distributed it to 6 other db's. When I view the metrics/policies for those db's, they are unchanged.

Am I missing something with this? Is this not how it works? Do I need to remove unwanted policies from each individual database? This will become a nightmare if I have to do this.
