Oracle Apps 11.0.3 - AR/GL upgrade to Rel 12

 Hi,

has anyone upgraded a Oracle Apps 11.0.3 instance - AR/GL to Rel 12 ? I understand this is a 2 step process, 11.0.3 ->11.5.10->12 . Our database for this instance is about 300GB and we have lot of custimization on the forms/processes. do you recommend this multi step process which I think will be complicated and time consuming, is there anyother migration startegy that is recommended ?
