Is it possible to upgrade from Rel. 11.5.10 on HP UX to Release 12.0.6 on Linux 64-Bit ?

The Upgrade from Release 11.5.10 on HP-UX to Release 12.0.6 on Linux 64-Bit can be done by following the outlined steps :
1.) Migrate your existing 11.5.10 Instance with DB 10.2.04 to a 11i Split Configuration, by following Note 369693.1 - 'Using Oracle Applications with a Split Configuration Database Tier on Oracle 10g Release 2'. This will bring the DB-Tier already to the new Operating System Linux 64-Bit.

2.) Install the Release 12.0.6 using Rapidwizard on the Linux 64-Bit box selecting the Upgrade option and lay down the Release 12 Filesystem.

3.) Then follow the steps to connect the existing ORACLE_HOME and database with your freshly installed application tier and then run the upgrade driver to upgrade the db to 12 as described in the Upgrade Manual.
