Oracle EBS v/s Peoplesoft Financials

A client of ours is currently on the crossroads deciding between implementing Oracle EBS R12 or Peoplesoft Financials. Would appreciate if anyone could share Oracle's strategic vision in terms of support, future releases and roadmap to Fusion. It would also be helpful if there's a document that outlines the benefits of implementing one or the other.
