Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. RMAN On-Line (hot) Backup Location

I am looking into RMAN and trying the command:

backup tablespace users

what i see is that this rman file gets placed into the oracle_home Database directory

is there any way to change the default location when you back up the database or tablespaces ?

conducting tests on oracle 9i and assume that 10g also is the same way
