Database patching and post patch instructions

Hello,

I have installed Oracle 10g Standard Edition, applied the 10.2.0.4 patch set and bundle 13.  Everything installed successfully and I have a functioning Oracle Home.

My question is when I create a database in this Oracle Home using dbca will I still need to execute the post patch database specific instructions of the 10.2.0.4 patch set and patch bundle 13?

I'm guessing not as I assume the patches will have updated the Oracle Home binaries/sql files and the patch instructions are for companies that had databases pre patch installation, but if someone out there could clarify this for me I would be most grateful.
