RMAN takes a long time to take backup

hi  i have configure RMAN on Oracle R12 database to take backup on scheduling. on first day RMAN backup completed in 30 minutes after that it takes a long time sometimes 2 or 3 hours.
any body can help me that how can i solve that problem
