Advice on deleting old Control File backups
I tried to search for this first, but I kept getting an error page, so if this has already been answered here, I apologize.
I'm using Oracle 10g 10.2.0.4 I am using RMAN to set up backup configuration and I schedule the backups through Enterprise Manager. In EM I can set up the rules to delete backed up archive logs and obsolete backup sets. I just recently added the "controlfile autobackup on" feature, and I'm seeing that the new C-xxxxxxxx files for the control file are not being deleted after the full backup (I'm in archivelog mode too).
Can I delete the older C-xxxxxxxxx files manually? Is the there an option to delete the older control file backups automatically? I'm not finding advice on this in the RMAN Backup and Recovery manual.
