How to Delete Cost Type

User accidently created cost types that are not used anywhere and are not needed.

How can I remove the cost type records ?

The cost type form has Delete button grayed out.

The Cost Super User repsonsibility does not have any exlusions.

The menu does include Cost Type : Maintain function.

We would like to avoid direct table table delete. There is an inactive date column in the form, but users would prefer to have these records deleted.
