How many Payment Methods to be defined ?

 There are 20 companies under one business group. Each company pays from different Banks.

Can you please suggest me that how many payment methods are to be defined so that the payroll can be integrated with general ledger & the Electronics fund transfer can be refleted to finiancial module.
