Start Depreciation From Date Placed In Service

We are implementing a new organisation this time with DPIS of all the assets is one single day. I need to charge depreciation only for those 5 days for that month & once i get into next period my regular monthly depreciation should work. Please advice an appropriate setup to achive this.
