LMSn processes are top CPU users
Recently, I moved a database from one cluster to another 2 node cluster with more CPU and memory. After the move, the CPU utilization on each node about under 20%. Slowly, I found that the CPU utilization kept going up on one instance. On checking the top CPU consuming sessions in grid control, I was surprised to find that no a single application user shows up in top 10. The top 4 CPU consuming processes are LMS0, LMS1, LMS2 and LMS3. On the second instance, I do see application user sessions among top 10. How can Oracle's internal processes consume so much CPU?
