Sent Statement / Customer Profile Classes

 I am doing the configuration for the "send statement" to customers. Inside the profile of classes of customer, I activated the "send statements" for weekly cycle.

Is the mailing automatic? what another configuration must I check?

Is it possible to send a personalized statement of account?
