need information about memory return by FREE and used by oracle.
hi,
I have a linux 64 server with 8GB of ram and 3 instances with a sum of sga is 5228
when I use free command, I see the linux cache+buffer size is very high why ?
Does the Oracle internal cache appears in the system 'cached' memory ?
If yes, why is it not in 'used' memory ?

More informations :
The 3 instances are configured with filesystemio_options set to SETALL (so oracle use directio and don't use linux cache ???)
