Transactions per second

We have 9i (9.2.0.6.1) Oracle database running on Windows 2003 Itanium 64 bit server.

We have created KPI chart for performance monitoring.

We notice normal transactions per sec 10 to 15 through out the day. But we are getting a pick every 12 hours and it goes to 80. We could not find the reason.

Any idea? Any hint to pin point a proccess or a job which is creating so many transactions?
