Oracle 11g 11.1.0.7 Patch 8 not supported on Windows Server 2008 x64?

I've just installed Oracle 11g 11.1.0.7 on Windows Server 2008 x64.  I then downloaded the latest patch for it, which is Patch 8 (patch number 8297201).  However, the Readme.html file included with this patch states, in section 3.1, that "Note:This Bundle Patch update is not supported on Windows 2008 x64".  Is Patch 8 really not supported on Windows Server 2008 x64?  If so, is Patch 7 supported or will I need to wait for the next patch (i.e. Patch 9)?
