PDF suport when database on UTF8 with EBS

Hi all,
I'm involved in a database character set migration to utf8 on a Spanish customer with EBS.
Regarding note Oracle Reports 6i Setup Guide for Oracle Applications 11i Doc ID:     189708.1, Reports 6i could work with uft8, but on note 189708.1, section 2.3.3 PDF Format, says:
"2.3.3 PDF Format
·         Limitation
In Oracle Applications 11i with Oracle Reports 6i, PDF output is supported for only Latin-1 character sets such as US7ASCII, WE8ISO8859P1 or WE8MSWIN1252. 
Any other single-byte, multi-byte or Unicode character set such as UTF8 or WE8ISO8859P15 is not supported."

I don't know what to say to customer.
