Tuning AutoInvoice

Hi,

We have AutoInvoice interface programs and APIs designed to load invoices from various sources. Off late we realize that the AutoInvoice program is taking too much time (like it takes 3-4 hours to load 40 invoices). I think it is way too much. Can anyone help me with some ideas to tune AutoInvoice? Max Memory (in bytes) is 3000000; I think this is ideal for our volume.
