I would like to remove all uneeded schemas from my 10g R2 databases.

I have many production grade 10g R2 databases.  Each one is a Standard Edition 10.2.0.4 non-rac database running on Redhat Linux.

I know that I can leave the accounts locked, but I would rather remove the uneeded accounts as well as the objects.

I have been experimenting and I can tell you that some of the documentation out there is misleading and out of date.

Assuming that I am not using any additional database options which schemas can I safely drop?  Also, once dropped some of the objects are referenced by other processes and cause weird/hatefull errors.  How do you completely remove the option from the registry?  And which accounts are associated with which options and registry values?

Howdy, Stranger!
