Applying Grid Control Patch Set

Hi,
Do we need to apply GC patch set ( like 3 or 4) on the database home?

In the release note of these patches it is mentioned that patches need to be applied only on OMS and AGENT homes. Nothing is mentioned about the DB home.

Any suggestion?
