Change transportation resource at some point of the distribution chain

 

Hi Everybody.

 

I’m in charge of ASCP in a distribution center, where three types of warehouse are involved as follows:

 

•     One Distribution center

•     Nineteen Cross docking only to unpack and repack orders just to optimize transportation capacity

•     eight hundred stores that stock and demand items

 

 

Using Distribution planning I’m trying to generate next rule¡

If Store demand more that “N” numbers of items, internal source those items by one trip from distribution center.

If the numbers of Items requested by the store are less that the optimum to make one trip from DC to Store at full truck, source from distribution center, but change the transportation to smaller truck at cross docking.
