Any API to update the Context Field Code.

 Hi,

I'm looking for an API  to update context field code of a DFF.

My main requirement is to change a non context sensitive DFF to context sensitive. If I directly make it context senxitive depending upon the operating unit , then users will not able to view the old data for all existing codes from front end, anymore. 

Please suggest.
