Requesting an item from inventory

Our facility has engineering design and warehouse functions at the same site.  Engineers or other assciates often request items from inventory stored in the warehouse.  They currently use a paper request form.  The warehouse associate makes a label, picks the item and performs a miscellaneous transaction (account alias issue) of the item to charge to the requestor's department.  Does Oracle have a seeded function to handle these types of requests for inventory items from internal customers?  I am looking to eliminate the manual paper request form.
