Upgrade Oracle from 32-bit to 64-bit

I have a client that is upgrading their Oracle Clinical application from 4.0.3 to 4.5.x and part of that upgrade involves going from Oracle 8.1.7.2 enterprise edition (32 bit) to Oracle 9.2.0.8 enterprise edition (64 bit). 

Does an export from the 32 bit 8.1.7.2 db and import into the 64 bit 9.2.0.8  db take care of the 32 bit to 64 bit conversion?
