Installing patch 6800649 to correct MAP Permission Denied error

 I have recently upgaded from 10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.4 on an AIX64-5L server. I am now receiving error 1482784 : map : Permission Denied. Looking through metalink, I found document 566482.1 which indicates the problem is fixed in bug patch 6800649 (for release 10.2.0.3). I did not have this problem in 10.2.0.3 but following the upgrade, users get this all the time. I downloaded the bug patch but the readme file indicated I should check with Oracle Support before applying. Please let me know what I'm to do. The users are not happy.
