Prevent changes to PO

 Hi

I am curious if it is possible to prevent changes to a PO while another change is processing.  We have ran into issues where a change was made to a PO and while it is processing in the background someone else went in and made another change.  Is there a process flag or something that will prevent the sencond change while the first one is processing?  Any help will be greatly appreciated.
