Migration of RAC +ASM Storage from RAW to EXT3.

Hi,

How does one migrate a SUSE Linux based Oracle RAC +ASM from a RAW file system to EXT3?

 

    The current system as two nodes connected to a HP MSA1500 SAN with a RAW based

file system.   The disk group together is 1 Terabyte.  The problem is that there is not

enough space.  More than 12 hours of archive logs and the storage group is filled.

So backups are occurring every 4 hours to remove archive logs.

    To address this issue, a new HP EVA system in being introduced to the current RAC.

This new storage group will have enough space.    The push is to have the file system
