Grid Control R5 failed to connect to database

Hi,
I have the Oracle Grid Control 10.2.0.5 installed on SuSE 10 Linux x86 (host name: hostname_OMS) and agent 10.2.0.5 installed on a remote machine SuSE 10 Linux x86-64 (host name:hostname) which hosts the databases. The GC found the target agent, and the agent works fine. See the agent status below.

(orcl):/opt/oracle/product/agent10g/bin~> ./emctl status agent
