Receiving ASN's in R12 for releases created in 11.5.9

 We are having difficulties with receiving our ASN's through the mobiles for releases created in 11.5.9 after we upgraded to R12.0.6.  Releases created in 12.0.6 are not a problem--for ASN's we receive in R12 for releases created in 11.5.9 we can do express receipts but cannot deliver them into inventory--if we create a release for the same item from the same blanket po in R12 no issue--has anyone come across this problem and can advise on how to resolve this issue?
