MIgration from Oracle 10g on HP-UX to Oracle 10g on Linux RAC

 I have a 6 TB database that I am trying to migrate from 10g on HP-UX to Oracle 10g on Linux RAC .Because of the endianess issue , we will have to convert all the datafiles using RMAN which will take 12 to 14 hours . Is there anything workaround , can we initially sync the data by restoring from Backup and use streams to set up replicaton between the two environments
