Following install emctl reports OC4J_DBConsole not found 

I just installed OEM GC 10.2.0.5 on top of a new 10.2.0.3 on RHEL 5 with a 11g repository, per instructions in doc 784963.1.  It worked as described, and upon conclusion I was able to log in to the DB console.  But...

I cannot use emctl for at least some functions:
[......:/home/oracle] $ emctl status dbconsole
OC4J Configuration issue........./OC4J_DBConsole not found.

there is no oc4j dir under oms10g.  There is a j2ee dir under oms10g, but a search of oracle home does not find the referenced file anywhere:
