gcc packages required?

Does Oracle Database 11g need the gcc-4.1.1-52 and gcc-c++-4.1.1-52 packages for a run time Database server only? It is required for install but we want to know if it is needed after the install during run time. We want to remove any gcc/gcc-c++ compilers on the system if it is not needed.
