Item Relationships in OM and iStore

Oracle iStore question regd item relationships
We have a requirement in Oracle iStore for the inventory item relationships applicable in OM to also be applicable in Oracle istore. I did a little search in Metalink and I came across a bug/ER with a similar request - Bug 2165978.

Can anyone let me know if this has been implemented by someone or has Oracle released a patch for this Bug 2165978.
