Please suggest Backup Voting Disk 11g RAC by dd

 I read on 11g RAC presentration by Oracle University. It told... Before backing up your voting disk with the dd command, make sure that you stopped Oracle Clusterware on all nodes.

That told  "When you use the  dd  command for making backups of the voting disk, the backup can be performed while the Cluster Ready Services (CRS) process is active; you do not need to stop the  crsd.bin  process before taking a backup of the voting disk."

that told me like 10gR2 RAC
