Temporary Change in Depreciation
Hi Forum,
In one of the companies, the current FA setup is such that they are charging depreciation for three shift (24 hrs) working. But due to recession and subsequent slow demand the company is now working only in a single shift (8 hrs). Slow the depreciation currently being charged is almost thrice the amount that should be charged.
So now company wants to charge depreciation at a lower rate as compared to the rate that is being current charged.
Question is how can that be done just for a small period of time say 6 months? It is likely that the demand will pick up and the company goes back to 3-shift work again.
